Zeta Chapter was only in existence for about a year.
There are only four initiates of Zeta Chapter.
One of the charter members, Kittie Shelley, was the sister of Frances “Fannie” Shelley Mastin, Monmouth.
The place of Zeta’s founding was changed in an old notebook from Galesburg to Rockford, Illinois, perhaps an indication that a Zeta Chapter at Galesburg had been considered first.
In 1875, the members of Alpha Chapter sent the charter to Zeta Chapter along with "some trifles to help them celebrate, as girls shut up in a seminary have some difficulty in obtaining the essentials."
All four charter members of Zeta Chapter attended Rockford Seminary for only one year (1874–75).
