  1. After Zeta Nu Chapter was established in April 1985, the new members quickly set about the task of learning what it is to be a Kappa and of forming a cohesive group. When they returned to school in the fall, the new chapter took part in UCSD's Primary Recruitment and welcomed 29 young women.

  2. On Saturday, Nov. 23, 1985, Zeta Nu was installed as Kappa's 114th active chapter with 46 charter members.

  3. By 1998, members moved from the Kappa Kondo into a house off campus.

Fun facts:

  1. Kappa joined three other sororities (Sigma Kappa, Delta Gamma, and Alpha Omicron Pi) and six fraternities on campus.

  2. By selling Easterseals coupon books before the chapter was even established, members were able to donate more than $1,000 to Easterseals, a division of Children’s Hospital and Health Center in San Diego.

  3. Recruitment in 1989 welcomed 45 new members. The chapter became the largest sorority on UCSD's campus with 125 active members.
