Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Delta Delta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma installed chapters on Oct. 4, 1980, at Centre College and were the first women's organizations on the campus that had been a traditionally all-male school until the 1960s.
Fraternity President Sally Nitschke, Ohio State, was the installing officer and Beta Chi Chapter, Kentucky, served as the big sister chapter.
Zeta Gamma was installed as the Fraternity's 106th active chapter.
The three national women’s organizations installed on the same day at Centre held a joint campus reception on Sunday, Oct. 5, where all guests and new initiates of the three groups could join in the festivities.
The chapter was initiated with the big sister badges belonging to the members of Beta Chi Chapter.
In 1994, Zeta Gamma marked the opening of their new house.
