  1. When Lambda was founded, the University of Akron was known as Buchtel College and the school was only seven years old when Lambda Chapter was founded. 

  2. Lambda Chapter was the first Greek-letter organization for women on campus.

  3. Two former Fraternity Presidents are from Lambda: Elmie Warner Mallory (1904–06) and Lydia Voris Kolbe (1916–20).

Fun facts:

  1. Lambda is the longest continuous Greek-letter organization at Akron.

  2. Lydia Voris Kolbe was Fraternity President when the first Convention was canceled in 1918.
